General:  The overall impression of the ideal Miniature Zebu would be a sound, healthy animal with no physical defects that might effect future generations.  The general effect should be that of a strongly built, well-balanced, symmetrical animal.

Size:  Measuring at the withers, directly behind the hump, height is not to exceed 42" at three (3) years of age.  Mature cows should be 300-500 pounds, mature bulls from 400-600 pounds.  This is a miniature cattle breed: so smaller animals in stature should not be penalized, body parts should be in proportion to its height.  They should not appear to be a "dwarf" nor stunted.

Head: Moderately long, coffin-shaped skull, orbital arches not prominent, slightly convex in profile.  Forehead prominent.  Crown with good smooth lines that compliment the shape and structure of the face, a gentle curvature that shapes the top of the head from ear to ear.

Horns: Relatively medium size-horns (12") curving outwards and upwards, although down swept are acceptable.  Hornless cattle are allowed, without penalty, with no visible scars or scurs.
Ears: Vertically pointed ears, less than 7 inches in length, ears should not hang down or point upwards.

Neck: Strong and fairly long.

Dewlap: Moderately developed, free of fleshiness with few folds.

Hump: Large in bulls, but not always highly developed in cows.  Placed just ahead of, or directly above the withers.  Upright and firm.
Back: Should be straight and level with a natural slope to the rump.  Rump should slope with a round appearance.

Hind Quarters:  General shape above hock joint is round.  Moderately wide at the pins.

Feet and Legs: Medium length, well proportioned, strong and somewhat fine boned.  Short fetlocks and hard small hooves with equal halves and small cleft.

Tail: Long and slender, "whip-like" usually set high at rump, extending above hock.

Reproductive:
Male: Both testicles descended in bulls over two (2) years of age.  Tight sheath.
Females: Udder, compact, well attached, high with even quarters.  Small to medium length teats.

Coat/Color: Coat is short, dense and sleek.  All colors are accepted.  In mature bulls, the neck, shoulders and hump may be nearly black.
